Unlock the Potential of Handbrake Passthrough for Immersive Sound

This is my command line for a Full HD 1080p with just one E-AC3 Dolby Atmos audio passthrough (instead of the normal dual audio) .. HandBrakeCLI ... Is it possible to set a certain treshhold bitrate (example 320kb) for Audio Tracks to have a passthrough regardless of the Audio Codec? Opus is the best lossy audio codec at the moment, and delivers significant bitrate savings over AAC and AC3, with 256kbps Opus being comparable ... Handbrake won't do that. Use MKV Merge (part of MKVToolNix), to create a new MKV file, or XMedia Recode for an MP4 container. Both will copy ... -EAC3 sounds promising, but folks seem to think the encoder in Handbrake is lousy. Is that true, or might it still suit my needs for " ... I'd auto pass-thru the surround sound or encode to 5.1 AC3. That way if you ever have it hooked up to a surround system you'll get surround ... Does anybody know whether video passthrough is on the roadmap? Currently when I need to transcode an audio track to AAC using CoreAudio on ... When I tried to use "auto passthru", Handbrake converted 112kbps to 224...and 96kbps to 224. :-\. Any thoughts on the pass thru for dts 5.1?
